“Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakens.” -Carl Jung
Here’s what I believe: Your emotionality is one of your greatest resources. When we can understand our emotions as Information, not instructions, we have access to all of the rich insights they provide to us about ourselves and the world around us. This is information such as how we might want to proceed in a challenging situation, where our boundaries lie, what we want and what we value. Learning to uncover and work with our feelings means that we gain access to a rich, new understanding of how we tick and how to care for ourselves in a way that best supports us in living lives that are as full and vibrant as possible, while minimizing the impact of stress, anxiety and other taxing experiences. As a counselor, I strive to create a space for you to be heard with out judgement. With a warm, compassionate, and approachable energy I am committed to creating a safe therapeutic environment. I have a passion for listening and celebrating individual uniqueness, and offer an authentic space to explore who you are. Counseling is an opportunity to slow down, tune in, and explore your internal landscape is an opportunity to slow down, tune in, and explore your internal landscape.
Therapy isn't a passive experience that happens "to" you, it's an active, ongoing relationship that you enter into with yourself and your therapist that requires a commitment and an investment of time, energy and resources. I get it- it can be scary to invest so much without seeing immediate payoff or reward- but welcoming that fear into the therapeutic process is part of the work. Through this dedication, I've witnessed clients undergo profound and lasting life changes during the course of our time together- that's the magic of creating time and space for yourself to be witnessed by someone that you trust. Together, we will have conversations to discover self-awareness and encourage healing through a collaborative effort of mind-body-commnuity wellness
